Ingleside extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Robstown. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Cottonpickers. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kylee Ward made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carol Rodriquez, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Beth Aceves, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

The victory was the third in a row for Ingleside, bringing their record up to 24-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Robstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ingleside beat the Cottonpickers by a score of 8-2 on Thursday.
