 In other batting news,  Aidan Martins was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Oliver Andrews, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 East Providence  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Toll Gate struck out 12 times.
East Providence's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Toll Gate,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Providence will head out to  face off against Westerly  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Townies 1.7, the Bulldogs 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Toll Gate, they will take on East Greenwich at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
