The Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers will head out on the road to take on the Spring Hill Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Warren County barely beat Cumberland County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers never let the Jets get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers have beaten the Jets the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Jets has come to flipping the script.
Keaton Rowe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Warren County is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-14 otherwise.

At the plate, Tyler Adams and Brady Norris did most of the damage at the plate: Adams went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Norris went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Adams has become a key player for Warren County: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-14 otherwise. Ryder Gilispie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Spring Hill came into Monday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Page 4-3.
Gary Cox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cox was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Cox wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Nolan Brister also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Warren County's record is now 10-15. As for Spring Hill, their record now sits at 10-16.
Warren County couldn't quite finish off Spring Hill in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 4-2. Can the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
