Softball Game Preview: Trinity Hall vs. Red Bank Regional Bucs

For the second straight game, Trinity Hall will face off against Red Bank Regional. Trinity Hall will square off against Red Bank Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Hall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Trinity Hall proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Red Bank Regional 3-2. While Trinity Hall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Emma Mullins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brooke Werdann was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Helen Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Trinity Hall pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Red Bank Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
