The Bluffton Tigers entered their tilt with the Churubusco Eagles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Bluffton simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Churubusco 58-16 on the road. With Bluffton ahead 37-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Isabella Stout, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Haley Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Bluffton's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Churubusco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will face off against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Churubusco will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
