The Humble Christian Cougars posted their biggest win since November 9, 2023 on Thursday. They really took it to Banff for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-31 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Humble Christian has posted against Banff since January 24, 2020.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anthony Perla, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Perla is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Viet Vo, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Humble Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Banff, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Humble Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Annapolis Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Annapolis Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Saturday. As for Banff, they will head out on the road to take on Cornerstone Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
