The Menendez Falcons will face off against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Menendez turned things around against St. Augustine on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Yellow Jackets.
Madelyn Brown looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Menendez got a big performance out of Kinsey Meade, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave Meade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Faust, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Menendez hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Kenny). They came out on top against Trinity Christian Academy by a score of 20-17 on Monday.
Ava Farnham was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Margaux Schuh, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Menendez's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Bishop Kenny, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Menendez hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Bishop Kenny struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Menendez came up short against Bishop Kenny in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 5-0. Will the Falcons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
