Truckee is 7-2 against Hug since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Truckee Wolverines will look to defend their home court  against the Hug Hawks  at 6:00  p.m.

 Despite their  defeat, Truckee saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Becca Brown, who  posted eight  points, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Hug strolled past Sparks with  points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game  43-29.
 Truckee better keep an eye on  Cori Carrier. She was instrumental in Hug's win,  going 8 for 15  on her way to 23 points along with eight  steals and seven  rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which  Carrier has scored at least a third of Hug's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Amiah Ahonima, who  earned six  points in addition to nine  boards and six  blocks.
 Hug has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record  this season. As for Truckee, their  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-5.
 Truckee came up short against Hug in their previous matchup  back in February of 2024, falling  36-23. Can Truckee avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
