Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Christian Academy-Louisville made sure to put some runs up on the board against LKY on Monday. Christian Academy-Louisville was the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over LKY. Considering the Centurions have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Alex Daugherty looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Christian Academy-Louisville got a massive performance out of Jayson Ruffin, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Combs, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Christian Academy-Louisville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Christian Academy-Louisville's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Kentucky Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
