Washington was the victim of a rough 72-49 loss at the hands of the Jaguars. Washington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-21.
Farmville Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamya Saddler led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Saddler posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Nakevia Phillips, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Farmville Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
Washington will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. As for Farmville Central, they will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Craven presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Jaguars in North Carolina (the Eagles are ranked 71st, while the Jaguars are ranked 207th).
