Indian Land is 1-9 against Fort Mill since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indian Land Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Indian Land is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Easley on Friday as Indian Land made off with a 92-67 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Green Wave are ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Michael Jones was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-20 en route to 27 points along with five boards and four steals. The match was his third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Sequel Patterson, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 20 points.
Indian Land smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Fort Mill rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-54 win over the Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Yellow Jackets sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
Indian Land better keep an eye on Logan Parker. He was instrumental in Fort Mill's win, going 7-for-9 to rack up 28 points and eight rebounds. Parker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Wallace Campbell was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.
Fort Mill's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Indian Land, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-3.
Wednesday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jones and Parker. Jones has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 22.3 points, 2.8 steals, and 2.1 assists. For his part, Parker has averaged 14.6 points and 1.6 steals.
Indian Land came up short against Fort Mill in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 52-44. Can Indian Land avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
