The East Hickman County Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Wayne County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hickman County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Wayne County is ranked 99th).
Last Friday, East Hickman County took a serious blow against Kenwood, falling 68-37. East Hickman County has not had much luck with Kenwood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Wayne County came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Riverside 68-37 at home. The score was close at the half, but Wayne County pulled away in the second half with 47 points.
Justice Bell was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Wayne County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sayler Skelton, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
East Hickman County's win lifted them to 2-3 while Kenwood's defeat dropped them down to 1-3.
