Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Wichita County Indians walked away with it. They breezed by Ell-Saline on the road to the tune of 64-28. The win was just business as usual for Wichita County, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Wichita County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Gardner out in front who rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 89 yards and a touchdown. Khris Hermosillo was another key contributor, rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wichita County's defense and their seven sacks. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Wichita County's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Ell-Saline, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Wichita County will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lyndon at 11:00 a.m. on November 25th. Lyndon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Ell-Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
