The Cathedral Catholic Dons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.   Alexandra Riggs put in work while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. Riggs has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Riggs was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Alayna Ma'Ake was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI. She hasn't dropped below three  RBI for three straight games.
 Cathedral Catholic has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record  this season. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
 Wednesday's   matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. Cathedral Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Academy of Our Lady of Peace struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
