The Excel Christian Academy Spartans can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Florida College Academy at home to the tune of 44-12. The victory was familiar territory for Excel Christian Academy who now have three in a row.
Excel Christian Academy was led to victory by Soleil DeJesus and Anyla Parker. DeJesus scored 20 points along with two steals, while Parker dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Parker has scored at least a third of Excel Christian Academy's points. Aysia Mertz was another key contributor, scoring three points along with three steals.
Excel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Florida College Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Excel Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Central Pointe Christian Academy National on Thursday. Central Pointe Christian Academy National will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Florida College Academy, they will be playing at home against Classical Christian School for the Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
