Okawville suffered their biggest loss since December 22, 2023 on Wednesday. They suffered a tough 69-48 defeat at the hands of Christ Our Rock Lutheran. Okawville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.
Meanwhile, Marissa/Coulterville waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 72-67 W over Zeigler-Royalton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Okawville has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Marissa/Coulterville, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Okawville was able to grind out a solid win over Marissa/Coulterville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 63-52. Will Okawville repeat their success, or does Marissa/Coulterville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
