The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics will stay at home for another game and welcome the Houston Hurricanes at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th.
Lyle/Pacelli suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-28 loss at the hands of Grand Meadow.
Meanwhile, Houston didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Schaeffer Academy on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory. Houston's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Houston found their leader in underclassman Avery Kingsley, who scored 20 points along with seven steals. Kingsley has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Olivia Yohe was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Lyle/Pacelli bumped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Houston, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.
Lyle/Pacelli was dealt a bruising 77-50 loss at the hands of Houston in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lyle/Pacelli was down 77-50.
