Having just played yesterday, the North Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Blackville-Hilda likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, North didn't have too much trouble with Ridge Spring-Monetta as they won 74-57. The Eagles pushed the score to 60-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Stetson Stacks, who went 13 for 24 on his way to 35 points and six steals. His evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Moody, who posted five points.
North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blackville-Hilda). They blew past Ridge Spring-Monetta 86-64 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Fighting Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.
North better keep an eye on Messiah McFadden. He was instrumental in Blackville-Hilda's win, dropping a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists. McFadden has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Jenkins, who went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points.
North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.1 points per game. As for Blackville-Hilda, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Blackville-Hilda struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North beat Blackville-Hilda 71-61 when the teams last played on January 7th. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Blackville-Hilda's Jamarion Kirkland, who went 12 for 17 on his way to 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will North still be able to contain Kirkland? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
