Farmville Central had a senior duo take command as Nakevia Phillips dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds and Jamya Saddler scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That's the first time this season that Saddler pulled down eight or more rebounds. Carma Wright was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Washington's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Farmville Central, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will face off against Greene Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Greene Central is ranked 401st, while Washington is ranked 421st). Farmville Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Craven at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. West Craven is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
