The Morse Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Calexico Bulldogs  at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Morse gave up the first  runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. Everything went their way against Holtville as Morse made off with  a  14-1 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.
 Alyssa Truby and  Reylyn Sakamoto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Truby   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Sakamoto   tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Furthermore,  Truby didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At the plate,  Truby  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Sakamoto  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Camryn Salvador and  Abby Okita did most of the damage at the plate:  Salvador  scored two  runs while going 4-for-4, while  Okita  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  Okita has posted since back in March of 2024.  Beyah Salvador was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Calexico never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victor by  a  10-0 margin over Bayfront Charter.
 Calexico now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Morse,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
