The Rochester Rockets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They secured a 51-47 W over MacArthur. The victory was just what Rochester needed coming off of a 60-39 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Taylor Offer, who scored 21 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Gegen, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
MacArthur's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Casey Jackson, who scored 13 points. Jackson's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Lamara Cliff was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Rochester's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for MacArthur, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochester will take on Lanphier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lanphier is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for MacArthur, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Decatur Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. Decatur Eisenhower is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
