Artesia is a perfect 10-0 against Goddard since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. Artesia is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
In Saturday's Canine Competition, Artesia prevailed. They came out on top against Roswell by a score of 3-0 on Saturday.

The result came thanks to Katrin Marquez's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Artesia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Montoya, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Montoya a new career-high in RBI (two). Kinsley Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Goddard made easy work of Clovis on Saturday and carried off a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Juliet Gallegos made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Gallegos was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Roxanna Serrano was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Marisol Hernandez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Goddard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clovis only posted a batting average of .357.
The victory made it two in a row for Goddard and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Artesia, their record now sits at 11-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Artesia hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Goddard struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Artesia's way against Goddard in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Artesia made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
