Baseball Recap: Omaha South Takes a Loss

Omaha South was the 4-3 winner over Wayne when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Packers fell 5-1 to the Blue Devils on Saturday. The Packers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Omaha South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lou Hodoly, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Omaha South's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Wayne, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Omaha South wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lincoln High on the 28th. As for Wayne, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-6 loss against Norfolk on the 28th.
