Lone Peak has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will square off against the DeSoto Eagles at 12:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Lone Peak took their game at home with ease, bagging a 96-30 win over East. With Lone Peak ahead 58-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Lone Peak's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naia Tanuvasa, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. The contest was Tanuvasa's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Katy Lawrence, who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, DeSoto is ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Rossville Christian Academy. DeSoto blew past Rossville Christian Academy, posting a 78-37 win on the road. Considering DeSoto has won four matchups by more than 30 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Ridgeline's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Lone Peak's defeat dropped theirs to 2-1.
