The Comenius Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 70-53 bruising from South Charlotte T. Comenius was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Luke Graves, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds for South Charlotte T. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Graves has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Will Prevost, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Comenius has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for South Charlotte T, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comenius will take on the Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (New Hope Leadership Academy is ranked 236th, while the Knights are ranked 214th). As for South Charlotte T, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
