Softball Recap: Conway Has No Trouble Against Carolina Forest

Conway made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carolina Forest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Panthers on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Addison Fogle was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Cayden Black was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Conway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carolina Forest only posted an OBP of .318.

Conway has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carolina Forest, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-9-1.

Conway will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
