The Economedes Jaguars's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over Tournament Opponent.
Economedes can attribute much of their success to Nirel Salinas, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Vargas, who scored 9 points.
Economedes' win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Tournament Opponent, their loss dropped their record down to 12-24.
Economedes will look to defend their home court on Monday against Santa Rosa at 6:30 p.m. Tournament Opponent's road trip will continue as they head out to face Centennial.
