The Norland Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami. Norland has not had much luck with Miami recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shania Swan, who scored ten points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shauntel Banks, who scored nine points.
Norland's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-14. As for Miami, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-9.
Norland will head out on the road to square off against Dillard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Ferguson at 6:30 p.m. Ferguson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
