Carbondale Area was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They lost  12-5 to the Blue Ridge Raiders. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won  1-0.
  Johnny Gorel was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run and one  stolen base. That  home run was  his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Krystal Calderon, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
Carbondale Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Blue Ridge, their win  ended  a  ten-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-9.
