Soccer Recap: Granite Hills Takes Down Chavez in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Granite Hills rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Chavez Titans out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Grizzlies have won by just one goal.

Ismael Zavala and Carlos Zavala scored both of Granite Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The victory got Granite Hills back to even at 10-10. As for Chavez, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coming up, Granite Hills will head out on the road to challenge Dos Palos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dos Palos' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Chavez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
