Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadow Hills). They blew past the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles, posting a 46-6 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 301st).

Shadow Hills' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Kailyn Anderson and Alyssa Martinez, who racked up four sacks between them.

Shadow Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.9 points on average over those games. As for Desert Hot Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Shadow Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against King/Drew on the 13th. As for Desert Hot Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 20-8 defeat against Portola on the 13th.
