Collegiate is 8-2 against Horace Mann since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Dutchmen will be playing at home against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. Collegiate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Collegiate came out on top against Calhoun on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Dutchmen took their match against the Cougars 8-3.

Collegiate got a great performance from Ethan Chung as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit.

At the plate, Collegiate let Alex Sabat and Ale' Propper-Bowring run wild. Sabat went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Propper-Bowring got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Feliciano, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Horace Mann fell victim to Fieldston and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Collegiate is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Horace Mann, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Horace Mann's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Collegiate hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for Horace Mann, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Collegiate's hitters?

Collegiate took their win against Horace Mann when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 12-5 score. Do the Dutchmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
