Meanwhile, Cross stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Palmetto Scholars Academy, posting a 71-38 win on the road. The win was familiar territory for Cross who now have ten in a row.
Caden Ramsey and Jamez Way were among the main playmakers for Cross as the former scored 18 points along with three steals and the latter scored 15 points along with six assists and three steals. Way is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jayden Middleton, who scored eight points.
St. John's has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Cross, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4.
St. John's came up short against Cross in their previous matchup back in January, falling 56-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
