Having just played yesterday, the East Hickman County Eagles will jump right back in to play the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. East Hickman County is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
On Wednesday, East Hickman County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Shadow Hills.
Meanwhile, Academy of Our Lady of Peace had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it three two weeks ago. They took down St. Joseph Academy 63-49. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Academy of Our Lady of Peace did.
Jillian Nowicki continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 7 assists. The matchup was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Audrey O'neal, who scored ten points.
East Hickman County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
