After losing to Silver Valley the last time they met, Riverside Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Silver Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans on Thursday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Silver Knights this season.

While Riverside Prep won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Leahna Ortega Flores paced Riverside Prep's offense, picking up eight kills. Ortega Flores really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. Finally, Imani Springfield kept Riverside Prep's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Riverside Prep's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Silver Valley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Riverside Prep will challenge Excelsior Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Silver Knights are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Silver Valley, they will welcome University Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
