Renton is 8-2 against Sammamish since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Renton Red Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sammamish RedHawks at 8:15 p.m. One thing working in Renton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Sammamish scored an imposing 66 points last Tuesday, Renton still came out on top. Renton walked away with a 79-66 victory over Sammamish. The score was all tied up 31-31 at the break, but Renton was the better team in the second half.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Dennis Johnson III and Rakin Showki. Johnson III had a great game and dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Meanwhile, Showki did his best for the losing side, scoring 19 points.
Renton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Sammamish, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
