Broome came into their this week averaging 30.13 points per game, but Broome fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were completely outmatched, falling 7-50 to Southside. Broome got a solid performance out of senior Ja'qun Wilkins, who rushed for 74 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Carolina Academy, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 26-54 walloping at Chesnee's hands. It was a tough break for Carolina Academy, who improved upon an already decent score from two weeks ago but lost both times.
