Flint River Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Flint River Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Newman led the charge by rushing for 142 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Another player making a difference was Jack Ballard, who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Flint River Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flint River Academy will host Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mount de Sales Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
