Roosevelt is a perfect 10-0 against Lincoln Park since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bears will host the Railsplitters at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Roosevelt has four straight victories, Lincoln Park has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Roosevelt's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Tuesday, when they got past Garden City's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Bears were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Bears have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Ellie Isenegger was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Isenegger was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Chlipala, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and two runs. Natalee Lesko was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Lincoln Park's offense. They came up short against Anderson on Monday, falling 17-0. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Roosevelt's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Everything went Roosevelt's way against Lincoln Park in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Roosevelt made off with a 15-0 win. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Railsplitters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
