Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Memphis University Owls, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Knoxville Catholic by a score of  31-28. Memphis University's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
 Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Brady Hughes, who threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was  Brandon Nicholson, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Even if they lost, Memphis University's  defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Knoxville Catholic's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Knoxville Catholic's QB won't forget  Hudson Shoaf anytime soon given  Shoaf sacked him three times.
  Jayden Neal looked great while leading his team to the win,  throwing for 394 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85% of his passes.  Tyreek King was another key contributor, picking up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Memphis University's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Knoxville Catholic,  the  victory  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-5.
 Coincidentally,  the pair will both be playing Baylor the next time they take the field. Knoxville Catholic will head out to face Baylor at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday, while Memphis University will  host them  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
