The Saratoga Panthers and the Burns Broncs will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Saratoga, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to Little Snake River. Saratoga has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Burns struggled with assists on Friday (Douglas had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Burns took a serious blow against Douglas, falling 68-33. Burns was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-15.
Josie Barrett was Burns' leading scorer, having posted eight points. Barrett also led the team in rebounds with six.
Jordan Griess took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with eight assists.
Saratoga has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Burns, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
