Anaca Olsen looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paisley Ross, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jade Romero, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Springville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Wasps 12-2. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Allyx Haveron was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Those nine RBI gave her a new career-high. Morgan Fairbourne was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Springville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive games.
Spanish Fork's record now sits at 3-6. As for Springville, their record is now 8-2.
Everything went Spanish Fork's way against Springville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Spanish Fork made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spanish Fork since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
