Basketball Recap: Marble Falls Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kylie Roberts and Lila Pangborn

Marble Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 40-20 to the Llano Yellowjackets. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Marble Falls' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lila Pangborn, who posted three points, and Kylie Roberts, who earned five points and three steals. Pangborn has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Amelia Robinson had an outrageously good game for Llano as she put up 24 points. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Kuykendall, who had seven points.

Marble Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Llano, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Marble Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-34 victory against Brady on the 6th. As for Llano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-27 loss against Keene on the 6th.
