Trinity and Hopkins County Central are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity will be strutting in after a win while Hopkins County Central will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Trinity turned things around against Caverna on Thursday. They blew past the Colonels 17-2. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season.

Cale Boarman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Trinity is 3-1 when Boarman posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-13 otherwise.
In other batting news, Harrison Barnett was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Hatfield, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
Trinity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Hopkins County Central fell victim to Crittenden County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Rockets. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Hopkins County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Trinity came out on top in a nail-biter against Hopkins County Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Storm turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
