The Orangeville Broncos had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They secured a 58-54 W over Aquin Catholic. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orangeville also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orangeville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Whitney Sullivan, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 rebounds. Sullivan has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Nadalee Doyle was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five steals.
Orangeville's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.42 points. As for Aquin Catholic, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orangeville will square off against Lena-Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lena-Winslow has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Aquin Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Pecatonica at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
