Harlan has gone 7-1 against Warren recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Harlan Hawks will host the Warren Warriors at 1:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Harlan earned a 56-44 victory over Taft. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Raiders are ranked 859th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harlan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jazelle Scott led the charge by going 7 for 15 on her way to 19 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Scott has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliyah Graham, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds.
Harlan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Warren waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the WILDCATS by a score of 61-51.
Harlan better keep an eye on Aniyah Shields. She was instrumental in Warren's win, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Shields also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in January. Jayla Robison was another key player, putting up 14 points and five boards.
Warren has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Harlan, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Harlan has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Warren struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Harlan took their victory against Warren in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 64-43. Will Harlan repeat their success, or does Warren have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
