Basketball Recap: Simon Larocque's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. John over Park River/Fordville-Lankin

St. John was the 56-54 winner over Park River/Fordville-Lankin when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the St. John Woodchucks and the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies didn't end well, with the St. John Woodchucks falling 61-44.

Several Woodchucks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Simon LaRocque, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave LaRocque a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Tayden Longie, who went 6-for-10 en route to 12 points.

St. John has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Park River/Fordville-Lankin's win bumped their record up to 12-9.
