Despite the loss, Union County still got an impressive performance from Eric Gray, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Parks, who posted ten points.
Chapman found their leader in sophomore Grayden Humphries, who had 31 points. The dominant performance gave Humphries a new career-high in points. Colby Moon was another key player, putting up 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Union County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-8. As for Chapman, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-12.
Union County will head out to challenge Greer Middle College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greer Middle College knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Union County likes a good challenge. As for Chapman, they will welcome Woodruff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.
