The Westbrook Blue Blazes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged York out 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Westbrook got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylar Hodge out in front who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Young , who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Westbrook's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for York, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westbrook will be home for the holidays to greet Kennebunk at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. York will be home for the holidays to greet Marshwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marshwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
