Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Victor Hernandez, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Hernandez continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Nicolas Rios was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Edcouch-Elsa has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Lopez, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-10.
Edcouch-Elsa will take on Donna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Donna is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Lopez, they will be playing at home against Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
